Reinstatement of Fire Damaged Period House in South Molton, North Devon

We were appointed to provide professional services to reinstate a fire damaged detached historic House which was completed in good time and the house ready for occupation again within 6 months.  An initial Health & Safety report was undertaken, then emergency works carried out within two weeks following the fire.  After a further two weeks, scaffolding and a scaffold sheeted roof had been erected to keep the remaining structure dry and to preserve as much of the remaining fabric of the building as possible.  The Clients are extremely pleased with the quick response and speedy...

Housing Development at Sundown, Exmouth, Devon

We have recently completed the full design and detailing for the roads and drainage which has now been adopted by the local authorities. This was not a straight forward project due to tight access requirements into the site together with poor ground conditions necessitating  specialist design, which has now all been completed successfully and on time.

We were also involved in the design and detailing for structural elements for the houses, retaining walls and foundations.

New Steel Framed Building for St John’s Garden Centre, Barnstaple, North Devon

We have been commissioned to carry out the design for expansion of the garden centre involving a new substantial new frame structure to house various facilities including a restaurant, children’s play area, toilets, store rooms, aquatics, staff offices and plant sales.

We aim to complete this work within two weeks with sufficient details and drawings for tendering.

Bostons Boat Yard Development, Plymouth, Devon

We have been commissioned to carry out an assessment of existing piled river walls and a major stone river retaining wall for this development of 53 homes and 132 parking spaces for Cavanna Homes (Devon) Ltd.

The work involves inspection, assessment of the walls and remedial proposals with full detailed designs.  We are also looking at the design of new piled river walls.
