We have appointed two new graduate engineers for 2015 resulting from an expanding client base and work load. Our popularity appears to be a result of fast response times and quality of work.
We are now recruiting and have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Engineer to join our structural design team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain extensive varied experience and progress to chartered status.
We are also seeking experienced structural engineers.
We have undertaken a specialist timber frame design for onsite fabrication to deal with a difficult site featuring complex shapes against adjacent structure. The construction is now nearing completion and has been extremely successful and cost effective.
We have recently completed the full design and detailing for the roads and drainage which has now been adopted by the local authorities. This was not a straight forward project due to tight access requirements into the site together with poor ground conditions necessitating specialist design, which has now all been completed successfully and on time.
We were also involved in the design and detailing for structural elements for the houses, retaining walls and foundations.
We have been commissioned to carry out the design for expansion of the garden centre involving a new substantial new frame structure to house various facilities including a restaurant, children’s play area, toilets, store rooms, aquatics, staff offices and plant sales.
We aim to complete this work within two weeks with sufficient details and drawings for tendering.
We have been commissioned to carry out an assessment of existing piled river walls and a major stone river retaining wall for this development of 53 homes and 132 parking spaces for Cavanna Homes (Devon) Ltd.
The work involves inspection, assessment of the walls and remedial proposals with full detailed designs. We are also looking at the design of new piled river walls.
We have commissioned by insurers to carry out a detailed assessment of this fire damaged house and to provide full design and details for reinstatement. We are also project managing the works involving tendering, site inspections and contract administration until completion.

Work involved creating the new Jaguar image with a striking bespoke cladding design with recessed windows featuring splayed reveals and head. This necessitated the creation of a grid of steelwork, offset from the main steel frame, to pick up the cladding. The steelwork was optimised for economy.

This interesting project is nearing completion and has involved specialist steelwork design to integrate with Jaguar’s corporate cladding design.
