New House in Matford Lane

Type: New Contemporary House Location: Exeter, Devon

This is a new house with an interesting architectural design. Both sides of the house were close to boundaries to the site, which was sloping, and at the rear of the building were basement rooms necessitating retaining walls. We dealt with party wall matters and carried out structural design and detailing for the sub structure.

There were stability issues to overcome due to large areas of glazing so stability calculations were undertaken and suitable structure introduced.
